the story

retold was

rather embellished 

the beast was ten foot 

tall when standing

and fearsome 

mean and 

hungry

.

.

Esterela

being fearless

entered the bear's cage

strode up to the bear before 

it had a chance to react grabbed 

the beast by its right ear twisting it

with all her might all the while scolding 

the bear as she often did of her own children

bewildered the grizzly collapsed to the ground

and remained there as the watching crowd cheered
